We're thrilled to introduce you to our favourite fabric of the moment: bamboo. Stay tuned for our upcoming collections, which will feature other eco-friendly fabrics. We can't wait to make you discover so many more wonderful fibres.
Bamboo is a sustainable resource, as it is 100% biodegradable and is naturally regenerative. It grows super fast — up to one foot a day —, it drapes well, and we love how soft it is to the touch with its silky-cashmere feel. Bamboo has thermal regulating properties; it breathes and wicks moisture away due to its porous nature. It is naturally antimicrobial (eliminates odour causing bacteria), resistant to mould and is also hypoallergenic.
Bamboo can be manufactured using a process that regenerates the cellulose fiber, which produces bamboo viscose. We call our bamboo fabric eco-friendly rather than organic, as the primary source is naturally regenerative and biodegradable.
